Iconoclasts Comes To Nintendo Switch On August 2

Japanese publisher Dangen Entertainment announced via Famitsu that the Nintendo Switch version of the platformer Iconoclasts will release next week. The Nintendo Switch version of Iconoclasts features a new Boss Rush mode as well as a new easy mode for those who just want to enjoy the game’s story. The new features will also become available for the PS Vita, PS4 and PC versions.

While Iconoclasts is listed as a platformer, it has a lot more going on as a 2D action game with Metroidvania elements. Players explore, fight enemies, and solve environmental puzzles using a variety of tools. Players progress through levels while taking on over 20 different bosses. Be sure to check out the gameplay from developer Joakim “Konjak” Sandberg in the video below.

  • Hours of nut-twisting platform action-adventure
  • Numerous densely detailed locations filled with fine-tuned action and puzzles
  • 20+ gear-grinding, screen-filling boss battles stand in your way
  • Three game-changing difficulty settings supported by a unique tweak system
  • A heart-wrenching epic – can one mechanic fix the whole world?
Iconoclasts releases for Nintendo Switch on August 2, 2018. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
